Granada Centre for Visual Anthropology

In hopes of understanding the way memory of conflict-past shapes contemporary political battles, I conducted ethnographic research with American Civil War Reenactors across New York and the United Kingdom. These efforts resulted in a multimedia installation—“Producing Authenticity: Constructing Historical Narratives through Civil War Reenactments”—and subsequent publications.
